About the D2

The LUMIN D2 is a discontinued network music player/streaming DAC with a fully balanced analogue architecture. It uses separate Wolfson WM8741 DAC chips for the left and right channels, provides fixed or variable-level balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA outputs, and includes a BNC S/PDIF digital output for use with an external DAC. Network playback is via Gigabit Ethernet and OpenHome/UPnP; local USB storage is also supported. Its feature set includes Roon Ready operation, Spotify Connect, AirPlay compatibility, Qobuz, TIDAL, TuneIn Internet Radio, MQA support, Leedh Processing digital volume control, gapless playback, and app-based control. LUMIN’s published D2 product information remains available, but the model has been identified by dealers and user-community references as discontinued; it was superseded in the range by newer LUMIN streamers.
