About the Transporter SE
The Logitech Transporter SE is a re-release of the original Transporter network music player, offering the same technical specifications and sound quality that audiophiles seek. It features an AKM AK4396 multi-bit Sigma-Delta DAC capable of 24-bit/96kHz playback, with support for WAV, AIFF, MP3, WMA, and FLAC formats. The unit includes balanced and unbalanced analog outputs, multiple digital inputs and outputs (optical, coaxial, BNC S/PDIF, AES/EBU), and a word clock input for synchronization with external clocks. The Transporter SE uses a 325 MIPS eight-way multithreaded CPU with an 8MB audio buffer and SlimDSP software-based digital signal processing. It has a dual 320x32 grayscale vacuum fluorescent display and is controlled primarily via a remote control instead of the original TransNav knob. The device supports wired Ethernet and 802.11g Wi-Fi networking and runs Logitech's SqueezeCenter software for music management. Its chassis is made of aircraft-grade aluminum with professional styling. The Transporter SE is designed for audiophiles who want a high-quality digital music server and transport with excellent sonic performance and flexible connectivity.
