About the Little Dot-1
The Little Dot-1 is a hybrid headphone amplifier that merges the musical warmth of vacuum tubes with the power of transistors. It features a Class-A vacuum tube stage using 6JI or 6CQ6 tubes, a socketed MC33078 operational amplifier for voltage amplification, and BD139/BD140 transistors as output buffers. Designed specifically for low impedance headphones requiring high current, it supports tube rolling with three tube families (EF95, EF92, 408A) selectable via DIP switches. It offers two gain settings (6.5x or 3.25x) and delivers power outputs of 150mW at 300 ohms, 300mW at 120 ohms, and 800mW at 32 ohms. The unit measures 180mm x 97mm x 100mm, weighs 1.5 kg, and is available in black with 120VAC or 220VAC options.
