The Linn Tukan is a high-quality, compact bookshelf loudspeaker from Linn Products Ltd., designed for space-constrained applications like stands, bookshelves, wall mounts, or multi-room setups. It features a two-way reflex-loaded design with internal treble adjustment and supports single-wire, bi-wire, bi-amplification, and active bi-amplification. The speakers deliver a lively, detailed soundstage with transparency and good bass extension, though they may become fatiguing at high volumes. Ideal for smaller to medium rooms, they excel with moderate power amplifiers and are suitable for home theater when mixed with other Linn models. Released around 1996-1997 as an entry-level Linn product, they offer premium build quality with dense cabinets and advanced driver technology, including a ceramic tweeter from the Keltik Aktiv and a custom bass driver with die-cast chassis, carbon-loaded polypropylene cone, and dual magnets for high power handling and low distortion near video monitors.
