About the Keltik

The Linn Keltik is a high-end active loudspeaker from the 1980s/1990s, renowned for its precise reproduction and use of Linn-designed drive units including a ferro-fluid ceramic tweeter, carbon-loaded midrange cone, and dual Isobarik bass drivers with die-cast chassis and large aluminum voice coils. It requires 3-4 dedicated power amplifiers (such as Linn Klout amps with Aktiv crossover cards) for optimal performance, one per frequency band, with the fourth allowing independent drive of each bass unit. The sculpted Topan front baffle minimizes diffraction, and the reinforced Ku-Stone loaded enclosure isolates the midrange. Configurations include built-in amp crossovers or rare external crossovers for flexible amplification. Cabinets show typical vintage wear but drivers remain in excellent condition. No longer manufactured.
