About the Majik 140

The Linn Majik 140 is a four-way floorstanding loudspeaker using Linn’s 2K high-frequency array and separate upper-bass/lower-bass enclosures. It can operate conventionally through its analogue passive crossover or be converted for fully active operation; later versions are also described as compatible with Linn Exakt systems when used with the appropriate external electronics. Its driver complement comprises a 19 mm fabric/silk-dome supertweeter, 30 mm polyurethane-elastomer dome tweeter/midrange, 160 mm doped-paper upper-bass driver in a sealed chamber, and 160 mm composite/sandwich-cone lower-bass driver in a rear-ported chamber. The supplied plinth incorporates adjustable spike feet, and rear-port foam bungs were supplied for placement closer to a rear wall.
