The Linn LK85 is a rugged, high-output stereo power amplifier designed to provide clear, detailed sound with robust power suitable for average-sized rooms. It delivers 62 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 85 watts per channel into 4 ohms. The amplifier features automatic power-up when detecting an audio signal and standby mode to minimize power consumption. It includes full protection against power overload and overheating, automatically shutting down to prevent damage and powering back up when safe. The LK85 is direct-coupled and servo-controlled for clarity, with a fully shielded toroidal transformer to prevent hum when stacked with other equipment. It supports bi-wiring and multi-amplifier setups via two input sockets and two loudspeaker sockets, allowing for bi-amping and tri-amping configurations to enhance sound quality.
