The Linn Klimax 500 Solo is Linn's reference mono power amplifier designed to power a single loudspeaker with unparalleled musical performance. It features a discrete bipolar design combined with Linn's patented Dynamik switch-mode power supply, delivering 500 watts of clean, silent power across the entire audible range. The amplifier is housed in a satin-anodised enclosure machined from a single billet of high-grade aluminium, providing excellent electrical and mechanical isolation and efficient heat dissipation through a hybrid cooling matrix with intelligent fan management. It incorporates Adaptive Bias Control technology that continuously adjusts bias current to minimize distortion and maintain optimal performance under varying conditions. The amplifier supports balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA) inputs, includes automatic signal-sensing circuitry to reduce power consumption by entering sleep mode when inactive, and has built-in fault detection and protection mechanisms. It is suitable for multi-amping, Aktiv, or Exakt configurations and can be wall-mounted using V-Klip brackets.
