About the MZ3

The Linear Tube Audio microZOTL MZ3 is a reference-level Class A tube amplifier that serves as a headphone amplifier, preamplifier, and integrated amplifier for sensitive loudspeakers. It is built around David Berning's patented microZOTL (Zero-hysteresis Output Transformer-Less) circuit, eliminating traditional output transformers while preserving the benefits of OTL designs. The standard tube complement uses 12AT7 input tubes and 12SN7/6SN7 output tubes in a Class A push-pull, no-feedback topology. The MZ3 provides three single-ended RCA inputs and two single-ended RCA preamp outputs, plus speaker binding posts for efficient speakers, all controlled via front-panel controls and an included remote. The front panel features an LED digital display and a 6.3mm (1/4") headphone jack. The amplifier is powered by LTA's external LPS+ linear power supply, supplied as standard, which delivers exceptionally low-noise, refined power and is user-switchable for multiple AC voltages. Together, the MZ3 and LPS+ offer highly transparent, detailed sound with the tonal richness of tubes and the clarity and control associated with solid-state designs.
