About the Bindbreaker
The LessLoss Bindbreaker is an advanced vibration control foot designed for use under audio components weighing up to 100 kg. Each Bindbreaker foot measures approximately 93 mm wide and 38 mm high, constructed from three materials: steel, plywood, and bog oak. Its unique design polarizes micro-vibrations so that only those normal to gravity enter the foot, preventing vibration reflection back into the equipment. Vibrations travel rapidly through steel components and are then absorbed and damped by the bog oak base, effectively sinking vibrations away from the gear. The hexagonal shape maximizes the boundary layer between steel and wood, enhancing vibration absorption. Using three Bindbreakers per component is recommended for optimal performance. The result is a significant improvement in sound clarity, lower noise floor, better imaging, more musical bass, pristine highs, and a rich midrange, allowing music to sound more natural and free from loudspeaker constraints. The Bindbreaker is described as a vibration sink with a one-directional flow of vibrations, first to the side and then into the wood, ensuring no resonance or impedance mismatch occurs. This product is highly regarded for its subtle yet audible improvements in audio systems without coloration or sonic penalty.
