About the L78
The Lenco L78 is a classic record player manufactured in Switzerland from 1974 to 1976. It features a belt drive mechanism with a 4-pole synchronous motor, offering speeds of 16, 33 ⅓, 45, and 78 rpm, along with infinitely variable speeds between 16 and 78 rpm. The turntable includes a straight tubular tonearm that is statically balanced, with an effective length of 314 mm and an overhang of 17 mm. It also features a viscosity-damped tonearm control and an adjustable anti-skating device. The platter is made of injection-molded aluminum, weighing 4 kg and measuring 312 mm in diameter. The L78 operates in semi-automatic mode with a limit switch and has a power consumption of 15 W. It is available in various finishes, including silver and wooden cabinets in walnut, white, teak, and rosewood. The dimensions are 465 x 165 x 360 mm, and it weighs approximately 8.5 kg.
