About the Decade

The Lehmann Audio Decade is a two-chassis phono preamplifier for moving-magnet and moving-coil cartridges. Its separate PWX II power supply is housed in one chassis, while the other contains the audio circuitry and passive RIAA equalization. Gain is selectable at 36, 46, 56, or 66 dB, with 36/46 dB intended for MM operation and 56/66 dB for MC operation. Loading options include 47 kΩ, 1 kΩ, and 100 Ω, plus a provision for a custom impedance. Input capacitance is adjustable from 47 pF to 1,370 pF. The discrete Class A output stage has a 5 Ω output impedance, and the compact audio and power-supply chassis each measure approximately 110 × 280 × 50 mm.
