About the CDT

The Leak CDT is a premium CD transport designed for audiophiles seeking high-quality digital audio playback. It supports CD, CD-R, and CD-RW discs with 2-channel stereo 16-bit/44kHz PCM audio and plays digital audio files (WAV, MP3, AAC, WMA) from USB storage devices formatted in FAT12, FAT16, or FAT32. The unit features a smooth slot-loading mechanism with read-ahead buffering to reduce disc read errors and ensure precise digital signal extraction. It is housed in an electromagnetically shielded enclosure with a dedicated power supply to minimize electrical interference. A temperature-compensated crystal oscillator controls the master clock, providing ultra-low jitter digital output via coaxial and optical digital outputs for connection to an external DAC. The Leak CDT does not have an integrated DAC or analog outputs. It offers full transport controls and folder/file navigation for USB playback. The design reflects classic Leak industrial styling with a walnut wood enclosure option. Dimensions are approximately 12.83" W x 5.57" H x 11.14" D, weighing about 15.21 lbs (Walnut).
