About the AP150
The Lavardin AP150 is a full-width stereo power amplifier that serves as the no-preamplifier version of the Model IT integrated amplifier. It features Lavardin's proprietary low memory distortion solid-state circuit technology, ensuring exceptionally low harmonic distortion (0.001% at max output). The amplifier delivers 55 Watts RMS per channel into 8 Ohms and can provide up to 110 Watts per channel into 2 Ohms, making it capable of driving demanding speaker loads. It is designed to be partnered with a low memory distortion preamplifier such as the Lavardin C62 to fully realize its sonic potential. The AP150 is housed in a black anodized, non-magnetic high-grade aluminum chassis with rounded heat sinks for safe handling. It includes high-quality components such as precision resistors and polypropylene capacitors, and a robust power supply based on a large toroidal transformer with dual secondaries and extensive filtering. The amplifier weighs approximately 12 kg and measures 135 mm high, 430 mm wide, and 340 mm deep. Power consumption is about 35 Watts at idle and up to 400 Watts at maximum output. The input impedance is 10 kOhms with an input sensitivity of 780 millivolts. The design emphasizes excellent timing, dynamic range, and detail resolution, producing a smooth, natural, and non-harsh sound signature. It lacks remote control and is often paired with Lavardin cables for optimal performance.
