About the Big 6
The LampizatOr Big 6 DAC, also known as the Fikus DAC, is a fully dual mono design with no electrolytic capacitors, utilizing 6SN7 output tubes and 6x5 rectifiers along with Duelund cast capacitors. It features a tube power supply and tube analog stage, premium capacitors, and supports PCM conversion up to 385 kHz and DSD128x engine. It includes AES/EBU and SPDIF digital inputs. The Big 6 is known for its natural and clean timbre, deep bass, pure trebles, and detailed soundstage. It is a single-ended triode design with tube rectification and offers a very musical and transparent sound signature. The DAC is a part of LampizatOr's Gen 4 series and is highly regarded for its build quality and sonic performance. It does not have a volume control option and uses high-quality Soviet and Czech tubes such as 6N1P and ECC88. The Big 6 is no longer manufactured and has been replaced by newer models in the LampizatOr lineup.
