About the Atlantic

The LampizatOr Atlantic is a tube‑based **R2R DAC** positioned as the company’s entry into directly heated designs, using a discrete resistor ladder for PCM conversion and a dedicated DSD engine with automatic PCM/DSD switching up to DSD256 via USB (DSD512 available as a paid option). It employs **directly heated 4P1L pentode tubes** run in single‑ended triode mode, LampizatOr **PureCopper output capacitors**, and a Level 4–style chassis with exposed top‑mounted tubes. The Atlantic supports PCM up to 24‑bit/192 kHz via S/PDIF and up to 24‑bit/384 kHz via USB, plus DSD64–256 via USB, and can be ordered with additional digital inputs such as BNC, extra S/PDIF, AES/EBU, and Toslink. Unlike later Atlantic TRP/Atlantic2/Atlantic5 models, the original Atlantic does **not** support extensive tube rolling and is optimized around the 4P1L tube type; it is available in single‑ended form with optional balanced circuitry at extra cost, and does not include an integrated preamp stage or analog preamp inputs as standard.
