The Lamm ML2.2 is a high-end single-ended triode monoblock amplifier designed for audiophiles seeking exceptional sound quality with 18 watts of continuous power into 4, 8, or 16 ohms. It employs a unique design with 6C33C vacuum tube triodes used in both the output stage and the power supply voltage regulator, enabling a very low turns ratio output transformer that extends frequency response and reduces leakage inductance. The amplifier features a redesigned input stage based on the ML3 Signature amplifier, five filter chokes, and a soft-start circuit to extend tube life. The power and output transformers are suspended in vibration-absorbing encapsulant material to minimize mechanical vibrations and enhance clarity and micro-resolution. The ML2.2 includes user-accessible multi-turn trimming potentiometers and test points for precise adjustment of plate voltage and current. It supports pseudo-balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs, with selectable output taps for 4, 8, or 16 ohm speakers. The amplifier is handcrafted with military-grade components and high-quality parts, including metal-film resistors, film capacitors, and gold-plated connectors. It weighs 81 lbs per unit and measures 16" x 8.25" x 20.375".
