About the ML2.1

The Lamm ML2.1 is a tubed monoblock power amplifier that uses a unique high-current low impedance power vacuum tube triode (6C33C) in both the output stage and voltage regulator. It delivers 18 watts per channel into 4, 8, or 16 ohms with up to 3% total harmonic distortion. The amplifier features a custom-designed output transformer with a very low turns ratio, resulting in an extended frequency response and dramatically reduced leakage inductance. It includes upgrades over the ML2 model such as a more user-friendly mains fuse holder, an upgraded power transformer for 230V mains operation, modified output transformer, rear handles for easier handling, and heavy-duty speaker binding posts. The ML2.1 is handcrafted with premium components including military graded low noise DALE metal film resistors, ELECTROCUBE and ROEDERSTEIN film capacitors, HAMMOND chokes, gold-plated NEUTRIC XLR connectors, and long-life vacuum tubes. The toroidal power transformer is suspended in a special encapsulant to absorb mechanical vibrations, enhancing sound clarity and micro-resolution. It supports all world AC line voltages and is optimized for use with high-efficiency speakers (94 dB and higher). Users can adjust plate voltage and current via accessible trimming potentiometers and test points.
