About the M1.2

The Lamm M1.2 Reference is a hybrid monoblock amplifier combining a single 6922 dual-triode vacuum tube in the second stage with six pairs of high-speed MOSFET transistors in the output stage. It delivers 110 watts of pure class-A power into both 4 and 8 ohm loads, with switch-selectable impedance settings to optimize bias and voltage for the speaker load. The amplifier uses no global negative feedback and features a carefully designed power supply with redesigned high- and low-voltage sections and high-quality components such as Dale metal-film resistors, Electrocube and Roederstein film capacitors, Bourns multi-turn trimming potentiometers, and Hammond filtering chokes. Inputs include parallel RCA and XLR connectors, with provisions to minimize noise when using single-ended inputs. The amplifier is built with industrial-level quality and reliability standards, including a soft-start protection circuit and thermal stability biasing. It can deliver higher power into lower impedances (220W into 2 ohms, 400W into 1 ohm) and is capable of driving any speaker load while maintaining harmonic integrity and clarity at all power levels. The chassis is a black-anodized aluminum box with substantial heatsinks and a straightforward, functional design emphasizing sonic performance over aesthetics.
