The Lamm Industries LP2.1 Deluxe is a high-end phono preamplifier that operates in pure class A mode from input to output, featuring a dual-mono layout for excellent channel separation and no loop feedback circuitry. It uses matched pairs of Russian 6C3P tubes for the first amplification stage and 6C45P-E tubes for the second gain stage, the same tubes used in Lamm's reference LP1.1 Signature model. The Deluxe version includes high-quality polystyrene capacitors bypassing film capacitors in the signal path, a power supply with greater energy storage (150 joules vs. 125 joules in the standard model), and a custom-designed massive damping plate to reduce mechanical vibrations, resulting in a more extended, coherent, and natural bass reproduction. It supports both Moving Magnet (MM) and Moving Coil (MC) cartridges with 40dB gain for MM and 60dB for MC, and features a very accurate passive RIAA EQ network with better than +0 dB / -0.2 dB accuracy from 20Hz to 20kHz. The preamplifier includes an audibly neutral power supply with a full-wave vacuum rectifier and choke-containing filter to minimize hum and buzz, and a solid-state analog voltage regulator for the heater supply. It is designed for use in high-end audio systems and recording studios, capable of reproducing music with studio or concert hall quality. The chassis is a dense matte black with a minimalist design, measuring 4.5" high x 19" wide x 13.875" deep and weighing 41.5 pounds. The unit includes electronic protection circuitry that mutes outputs during startup and power interruptions to protect the tubes and circuitry.
