The Kronos Sparta is a premium belt-driven turntable distinguished by its contra-rotating dual-platter design, which significantly reduces vibration and smearing for superior analog playback. It measures 20" wide, 14" deep, and 11" tall, weighing 70 lbs. The turntable uses two 2432 precious metal brush DC motors controlled by a CPU-regulated Class A dual power supply that dynamically adjusts voltage to maintain speed stability and accuracy. The top platter speed is monitored by an optical sensor, while the lower platter shares voltage with the top motor and is calibrated analogically. The power supply features an on/off rocker switch and toggle switches for RPM selection (33/45), speed adjustment, and memory storage of speed settings. The Sparta is typically paired with the 10.5-inch carbon-fiber Helena tonearm, a ball-in-cup unipivot design with a low center of gravity for maximum rigidity and minimal mass. The turntable supports tonearms from 9" to 10.5" via adaptor plates. The Sparta's design includes a solid frame base with four suspension towers and subchassis suspended on o-rings for vibration isolation.
