About the HTS 7.1

The Krell HTS 7.1 is a high-end 7.1-channel AV surround processor and preamplifier from around 2002, featuring THX Ultra certification, Krell Current Mode circuitry, discrete Class A direct-coupled design, and modular architecture for upgrades. It excels in both home theater multichannel decoding (Dolby Digital, DTS, THX Surround EX, etc.) and 2-channel stereo performance via analog bypass, with exceptional soundstaging and bass control. Supports 24-bit/192kHz DACs, 1MHz analog bandwidth using Current Tunnel topology, and includes Smart System Setup, Digital Room Equalizer, and Zone 2 control. Now discontinued and no longer manufactured.
