The Krell Evolution 900e is the flagship monaural power amplifier in Krell's Evolution e Series, designed to deliver extreme power and audiophile-grade sound quality. It features a massive 6,000 VA power supply with two 3,000 VA transformers and 108,000 µF capacitance, enabling it to output 900 watts into 8 ohms, 1,800 watts into 4 ohms, and 3,600 watts into 2 ohms. The amplifier employs Krell's proprietary Active Cascode Topology with seven sets of Active Cascode Quartets in the output stage for precise current sharing and enhanced reliability. It offers a frequency response from 20 Hz to 20 kHz within ±0.18 dB and extends from <0.5 Hz to 120 kHz within ±3 dB, with a signal-to-noise ratio exceeding 113 dB wideband and 122 dB A-weighted.
