The Krell Evolution 707 is a state-of-the-art surround preamplifier/processor designed for high-performance home theater systems. It features 8.4 channel audio output with two center channels and four subwoofer outputs, allowing maximum flexibility in system design. The unit supports advanced surround sound formats including Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD Master Audio lossless surround formats via four HDMI 1.3 compliant inputs. It incorporates Krell's proprietary Evolution CAST circuitry and Current Mode topology for superior audio fidelity, with fully balanced outputs and a 16-bit balanced resistor ladder volume control in preamp mode for the purest signal path. The Evolution 707 includes dual 32-bit DSPs for precise surround processing and supports multiple surround modes including Dolby Digital Surround EX, DTS 6.1 ES, and nine proprietary Krell Music Surround modes. Video processing includes all-discrete video circuitry with 350 MHz bandwidth, HDMI 1.3 inputs and output, and analog video scaling to 1080p/60Hz.
