About the GE-7i

The Kondo Audio Note Japan GE-7i is a stereo NF-type tube phono equalizer amplifier (phono preamplifier) using separate main and power-supply chassis and belongs to Kondo's current phono preamp line alongside the GE-10i and GE-2i. It offers moving-magnet level gain of 38 dB, with 2 RCA inputs at 47 kΩ and 1 RCA output, RIAA equalization accuracy within ±0.5 dB from 30 Hz to 20 kHz (excluding the low-cut filter), and a tube complement of ECC803S ×2, 6072 ×4, and 6CA4 ×1. The design emphasizes low noise (specified at less than 1.5 mV), substantial linear power supply (about 46 W consumption), and high-grade construction, with the main unit and separate power supply weighing approximately 13.5 kg and 12 kg respectively.
