About the Jade Platinum
The Koetsu Jade Platinum cartridge represents the pinnacle of cartridge design with a body machined from a carefully selected block of high-quality jade stone, polished to a fine finish. It uses tightly matched silver-sheathed copper coils and rare platinum magnets to deliver an ethereal and harmonious sound. The cartridge features a boron cantilever and is hand-crafted with meticulous attention to detail. It has a low output of 0.3 mV, a net weight of approximately 12.5 to 13 grams, and a recommended tracking force of 1.8 to 2.0 grams. The recommended load impedance is between 75 and 500 ohms. This cartridge is highly regarded for its musicality and ability to reveal intricate details in music, making it a prized choice for audiophiles. The Jade Platinum model was retired in 2022 but remains a sought-after masterpiece in the Koetsu lineup.
