The Klipsch KG-1.5 bookshelf speakers are compact yet deliver substantial bass and room presence, utilizing Klipsch's famous horn technology for detailed high-frequency response and advanced woofers for broad dynamics with low distortion. They feature a 2-way system with a 6.5" K-1018-S woofer and a 1" K-86-K polymer dome compression driver tweeter mounted on an exponential cone horn. The speakers have a frequency response bandwidth of 50Hz to 20kHz ±3dB, a sensitivity of 90dB SPL at 1 watt/1 meter, nominal impedance of 8 ohms, and power handling of 50 watts continuous (200 watts peak). The enclosure is bass reflex type with a rear-mounted port, constructed from medium density fiberboard (MDF) with a black satin finish. Dimensions are approximately 9.25" x 9.25" x 13" (LxWxH) and weight is about 15 lbs. Originally made in the USA from 1994 to 1997, these speakers are well-regarded for their dynamic soundstage, clarity, and suitability for stereo or home theater use as front or surround channels.
