About the Heresy II

The Klipsch Heresy mkII is a 3-way, 3-driver loudspeaker system designed for high efficiency and dynamic sound reproduction. It features a 12-inch fiber-composite cone woofer (K-24-K), a 1.75-inch phenolic diaphragm compression midrange driver (K-53-K) with an exponential horn, and a 1-inch polyetherimide diaphragm compression tweeter (K-76-K). The enclosure is sealed and finished in wood veneer, measuring 21-3/8" x 15-1/2" x 13-1/4" and weighing 37 lbs (16.8 kg). It has a frequency response of 50 Hz to 20 kHz (±3 dB), sensitivity of 97 dB at 1 watt/1 meter, nominal impedance of 8 ohms, and power handling of 100 watts continuous (400 watts peak). The crossover frequencies are approximately 700 Hz and 6000 Hz. The Heresy mkII is known for its lively sound and requires as little as 10 watts to perform well. It is a sealed cabinet design with 5-way binding posts for speaker input. This model is no longer in production and is considered a vintage classic.
