About the Kii Three

The Kii Three is a three-way, stand-mounted, sealed-box powered loudspeaker with DSP control, designed to deliver full-bodied, highly detailed sound typically associated with much larger speakers. It features a unique six-driver configuration: four 6.5" woofers, one 5" midrange, and one 1" wave-guided tweeter, each individually powered by six 250W custom Ncore Class D amplifiers, totaling 1500 Watts per speaker. The system uses Active Wave Focusing crossover filters and advanced DSP to achieve a flat frequency response within ±0.5 dB from 20 Hz to 25 kHz, with controlled directivity of 4.8 dB from 54 Hz to 1 kHz, minimizing room reflections and enhancing clarity. Inputs include analog XLR, AES/EBU digital, and via the optional Kii Control unit, USB, TosLink, and SPDIF. The Kii Control acts as a digital preamplifier and offers extensive room correction features including boundary compensation with 14 selectable presets, contour tone controls, latency and polarity adjustments, and volume control. The speaker measures 16" (400 mm) wide by 16" (400 mm) deep by 20" (500 mm) high and weighs approximately 19 kg (40 lbs). It is available in multiple finishes including High Gloss White, Graphite Satin Metallic, Mineral Gray, and many custom colors for an additional cost. The system is praised for its ability to deliver dynamic, robust sound with exceptional clarity, deep bass, and musical coherence in a compact form factor, suitable for both audiophile and professional monitoring applications.
