About the Grand Reference XLR
The Kharma Grand Reference XLR is a premium high-end audio interconnect cable measuring 1.75 meters in length. It features original XLR connectors and is constructed with a large number of conductors (32 pure silver and gold individual wires) housed in a massive vibration-reducing tube. Each conductor floats in individual air chambers sealed in a gel-filled tube, providing excellent isolation and a near-perfect dielectric environment. This design significantly reduces vibration and environmental interference, resulting in a highly undisturbed signal path. The cable is known for its impressive bulk and weight, which supports its advanced construction. Sonically, it delivers a more analog-like texture, a continuous soundstage, and natural dynamics, making musicians appear to occupy the same space realistically. It is particularly well-suited for source-level gear such as front-ends and pre-amplifiers, especially in systems with tubes. The cable requires a burn-in period of about 100 hours to reach its final tonal state, which balances fullness and lightness in sound. The Grand Reference XLR cable is regarded as a unique and top-tier product in the audiophile community, offering a significant upgrade in presence, air, and natural dynamics compared to other cables.
