About the L-07T
The Kenwood L-07T is a mono/stereo FM tuner designed for high-end audio systems, produced from 1977 to 1979 in Japan. It features an analogue tuning scale covering the FM band from 87.5 to 108 MHz. The tuner offers a frequency response of 20 Hz to 15 kHz with minimal distortion and a signal-to-noise ratio of approximately 75-80 dB. It includes a 7-gang tuning capacitor and two independent IF filter systems for wide and narrow bandwidth settings, enhancing selectivity and reception quality. The unit has a black metal case with dimensions of 480 x 100 x 336 mm and weighs 6.7 kg. It consumes 28 watts of power and provides a 1 V output at 400 Hz with 1 kOhm impedance. Special features include an MPX filter, stereo-mono switch, muting on/off, band wide/narrow selection, and a de-emphasis switch (25/75 µs). The tuner is well-regarded for DXing and high-fidelity FM reception, originally priced around 1,900 DM (approx. in late 1970s).
