About the R200C

The KEF R200C is a high-quality passive center speaker specifically designed to enhance home theater audio. It features a three-way bass reflex design with a Uni-Q driver array that includes a 1-inch vented aluminium dome tweeter and a 5-inch aluminium midrange driver, complemented by two 5.25-inch aluminium woofers. This configuration delivers clear dialogue, powerful effects, and an immersive soundstage with detailed, precise, and dynamic audio reproduction. The speaker has a frequency response of 52Hz to 45kHz (-6dB), sensitivity of 87dB, and can handle amplifier power from 25 to 150 watts. Its impedance is nominally 8 ohms (minimum 3.2 ohms), and it can produce a maximum sound pressure level of 111dB. The enclosure is made from MDF with a high-gloss black or real wood veneer finish (rosewood or walnut), measuring 170 x 530 x 305 mm and weighing 14.4 kg. The R200C is designed to integrate seamlessly with KEF's R100 and R500 home cinema systems, providing lifelike detail, effortless timing, and flawless dynamics for both music and movie soundtracks. It is no longer in production but remains a respected model for home theater enthusiasts.
