About the Blade

The KEF Blade is a flagship HiFi floorstanding loudspeaker designed with a three-way bass reflex system and a unique Single Apparent Source driver configuration. It features four force-cancelling bass drivers arranged symmetrically around a two-way Uni-Q driver array, which combines mid and high frequencies from a single acoustic center for precise imaging and coherent sound across a wide area. The cabinet is made from ultra-high density polyurethane composite with complex parabolic curves to eliminate standing waves. The Blade incorporates KEF's revolutionary Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT), a complex maze-like structure that absorbs 99% of unwanted sound from the rear of the tweeter, significantly reducing distortion and enhancing acoustic purity. It has a sensitivity of 91dB (2.83V/1m), a nominal impedance of 4 ohms (minimum 3.2 ohms), and harmonic distortion below 0.5% from 40Hz to 100kHz. Dimensions are 1590 x 363 x 540 mm (HxWxD) including the plinth. The Blade series includes models such as Blade One Meta and Blade Two Meta, which share the same core technologies and design philosophy focused on delivering clean, controlled bass and immaculate clarity through advanced crossover design and the 12th generation Uni-Q driver array with MAT.
