The Joule Electra VZN Grand Marquis Mk 4 monoblock amplifiers are part of the VZN-160 Grand Marquis OTL power amplifier line, delivering approximately 160 watts per channel for moderate to large high-end systems. They use multiple rugged Russian 6C33C triode output tubes in Joule Electra's Circlotron-style OTL topology, directly coupling the tubes to the loudspeaker load without an output transformer. Construction emphasizes point-to-point wiring, a wood-based non-magnetic chassis (with optional Musicwood cases), and mechanical damping to reduce vibration. A variac-regulated filament supply maintains correct heater voltage for the 6C33C tubes. The Grand Marquis Mk 4 monoblocks combine classic triode warmth with high power, strong dynamics, and the clarity typical of well-executed OTL designs.
