The JL Audio Fathom 112 subwoofer features an ultra-long throw W7 12-inch driver combined with a powerful 1800 watt RMS short-term switching amplifier, providing output levels typically associated with much larger subwoofers. It is designed for medium-sized rooms and excels in both music-only and home theater applications. The sealed enclosure and advanced driver technology ensure low distortion, excellent dynamic range, and deep bass extension. The subwoofer includes a comprehensive set of signal processing controls accessible on the front panel, such as a flexible low-pass filter (30 Hz to 130 Hz), variable phase (0 to 280 degrees), switchable polarity (0 or 180 degrees), and an Extreme Low Frequency (E.L.F.) trim (-12 dB to +3 dB at 25 Hz). It also features JL Audio's Digital Automatic Room Optimization (D.A.R.O.) system with a calibrated microphone for room calibration. Inputs include stereo or mono unbalanced RCA jacks and balanced Neutrik combo XLR/TRS jacks, with an XLR output for connecting a slave unit. The enclosure is finished in black gloss and measures 15.06 inches wide, 18.5 inches high (including feet), and 17.75 inches deep (including grille), weighing 117 pounds.
