About the Corus
The Jeff Rowland Design Group Corus is a reference-level stereo preamplifier (linestage) featuring a compact, ultra-low resonance chassis machined from aircraft-grade 6061-T6 aluminum for superior EMI/RFI isolation. It employs ceramic circuit boards, ceramic capacitors, and a true dual-mono design with functional isolation of power supply and audio circuits. The unit includes a custom Vacuum Fluorescent Display (VFD) with adjustable brightness and timer modes, programmable gain offsets per input, theater pass-through, and precise volume control via optical encoder over a 99.5 dB range in 0.5 dB steps. An external power supply and IR remote sensor enhance flexibility and performance. The Corus delivers sensuous, grain-free musicality, exceptional frequency extension, bass definition, harmonic complexity, and superior dynamics. It has been discontinued, with used units available on secondary markets.[1][5][6][7][14]
