About the 501 Mono
The Jeff Rowland Model 501 Mono is a monophonic Class D power amplifier using a high-power ICEpower module, designed to deliver very high output with low distortion from a compact, lightweight chassis. It provides 500 watts of continuous RMS power into 8 ohms and 1000 watts into 4 ohms, with a frequency response of 5 Hz to 45 kHz (-3 dB at 8 ohms) and THD+N below 0.1% (typically around 0.01% at 1 kHz). A damping factor greater than 1000 at 1 kHz and a load impedance range of 2 to 16 ohms give it strong control over a wide variety of loudspeakers. The amplifier offers a balanced XLR input with optional adapter for unbalanced use and a single CE-approved speaker clamp output. It features Jeff Rowland's precision-machined aluminum chassis with a compact footprint of approximately 85 x 213 x 372 mm and weighs about 7.8 kg. Idle power consumption is about 15 W, rising to 1300 W at maximum output.
