The Jean-Marie Reynaud Evolution 3 is a discontinued 3-way bookshelf loudspeaker from the renowned French manufacturer JMR Electroacoustique. It employs a tuned triangular transmission line enclosure with a slim anti-noise vent port, machined from 0.75" MEDITE with double-face aniegre veneer and bevel edges to minimize diffraction. Key features include bi-wiring connections, cherry-stained aniegre veneer finish, and high-quality drivers: a 6.7-inch woofer with double magnet system and double moving coil, plus a 1.2-inch impregnated fabric dome tweeter with neodymium magnet and horn waveguide for controlled directivity. The crossover is 3-way with frequencies at 1400 Hz and 4500 Hz, using 6 and 12 dB/octave slopes in serial configuration for midrange/treble. Positioned as a step up from smaller models like the Trentes, offering enhanced bass and fullness while maintaining JMR's signature musicality, transparency, and precise timbres. No longer in production, available only on the used market.
