The JBL L1 is a vintage 2-way bookshelf loudspeaker system from the early 1990s, featuring a 6.5-inch woofer made from a paper-like composite of felt and glass-fibre with concentric ribs and cast aluminum frame, paired with a 1-inch titanium dome tweeter with diamond pattern for rigidity. Known for clean, clear sound with good dynamics, though lacking deep bass extension, making it suitable for pairing with a subwoofer. Enclosure in black ash finish with tuned rear port and multi-way binding posts (not bi-wireable). Build quality is excellent, praised for lively performance with appropriate amplification.
