About the CDT-2
The Jay's Audio CDT2-MK3 is a dedicated CD transport designed for music lovers who already own a quality DAC. It feeds 16-bit, 44.1kHz CD signals through multiple digital interfaces including HDMI i2s, Coax, and AES/EBU. The transport features premium components including a Philips CDM4/19 mechanism, Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillator (OCXO) for low-jitter performance, UK Noratel encapsulated transformers, multistage super regulator with Gold Tune capacitors, and digital output isolation transformer. The unit supports native playback and upsampling to 176.4kHz, configurable via remote control. Design emphasizes mechanical isolation and noise filtering with a dimmable OLED display and carbon-fiber disc clamp.
