About the JA80

The Jadis JA80 is a French pure-Class-A valve monoblock power amplifier. The model originated in the 1980s and has appeared in several revisions; specifications differ between the original JA80 and the later JA80 MkII. The original version is generally specified at approximately 60 W RMS per monoblock, using four KT88-family output tubes, while the MkII is commonly specified at 60 W with conventional output tubes and up to 90 W when fitted with KT150 tubes. It uses transformer-coupled push-pull output stages, automatic bias, selectable loudspeaker impedance taps, and a single line-level RCA input per monoblock.
