About the iTube

The iFi Audio iTube is a compact tube buffer and preamplifier that uses a GE 5670 tube to provide a warm, natural sound signature. It can be used as a standalone preamp or in conjunction with a solid-state preamp to inject tube warmth into the output stage. The device features a Class A tube buffer with adjustable gain settings of 0 dB and +6 dB, a volume knob for analog output level adjustment, and impedance matching capabilities to bridge systems with different impedances. It includes features such as Digital Antidote Plus to reduce harsh digital ringing, and 3D HolographicSound to enhance stereo separation, especially at low frequencies. The iTube is designed to improve soundstage, add midrange bloom, and reduce listening fatigue by smoothing treble and enhancing natural tonality. It supports stereo RCA input and output and can drive loads up to 600 Ohms. The unit is housed in a small, elegant aluminum enclosure and is powered by AC 100-240V with low power consumption. The tube is conservatively run for long life expectancy (up to 100,000 hours).
