About the PS2

The Icon Audio PS2 is a simplified, one-box version of the award-winning PS1 phono stage, using a similar all-valve circuit design for moving magnet cartridges. It is hand-built in the UK, featuring point-to-point wiring and no printed circuit board, which is believed to preserve audio purity. The PS2 is designed to deliver the warmth, detail, and transparency associated with valve amplification, while minimizing noise and distortion—especially beneficial for older or imperfect vinyl records. It includes a stereo/mono switch to reduce noise on mono recordings and is compatible with moving coil cartridges when used with an optional transformer. The PS2 is recognized for its excellent value, offering much of the performance of higher-end models at a more accessible price point.
