The Icon Audio LA4 MkIII is a line pre-amplifier that succeeds the LA2 MkII, offering enhanced macro dynamics and sound stage due to its lower feedback and gain design. It features a simple yet high-quality single-stage design followed by an output buffer. The pre-amplifier includes four single-ended line inputs, one tape loop, and two main outputs with non-inverting output signal polarity. The power supply is notable for its two chokes in a double Pi configuration, providing excellent smoothing for a quiet operation. The rectifier valve used is the Western Electric 274B, known for its superior sound quality. Optional Bluetooth connectivity is available. The LA4 MkIII is ideal for use with virtually any power amplifier.
