About the STF-2

The Hsu Research STF-2 is a compact, high-performance powered subwoofer featuring a 10-inch woofer and a 200-watt continuous BASH amplifier. It is designed and engineered in the United States and built in China. The subwoofer offers a bass extension of 25 Hz ±2 dB and includes a single flared port for venting. It has a finely textured satin black vacuum-sealed vinyl finish and measures approximately 14 inches wide, 19 inches tall, and 18 inches deep, weighing about 40 pounds. The rear-mounted amplifier includes controls for power (Off/Auto-On/On), phase (0/180 degrees), and a continuously variable low pass filter adjustable from 30 to 90 Hz with a 24 dB/octave slope. The STF-2 is essentially a fixed-tuned version of the VTF-2 subwoofer operating in Maximum Extension mode, prioritizing accuracy and flat frequency response. It is capable of delivering clean output levels around 105 dB with low distortion and has a 7-year warranty on the driver and 2 years on electronics.
