About the XLR-Canare L-4E6S w/Neutrik NC3FXX
This custom Homebrew XLR cable uses the Canare L-4E6S Star Quad microphone cable, renowned for its ultra-flexible design, high-strand count conductors, and densely woven braided shield that ensures maximum durability and noise rejection. The quad-star configuration reduces electromagnetic interference (EMI) significantly, making it ideal for studio and live sound applications. The cable is 24 AWG with 40 strands per conductor, flexible even in extreme cold, and features cross-linked polyethylene insulation for excellent frequency response and reduced handling noise. The Neutrik NC3FXX female 3-pin XLR connector is a professional-grade connector with nickel housing and silver contacts, featuring a unique cage design for low contact resistance, solder barrier, improved metal latch, and polyurethane boot for strain relief. It supports cable diameters from 3.5 to 8.0 mm and is rated for 16 A current per contact and 1.5 kV dielectric strength, ensuring reliable and long-lasting connections.
