About the MKII
The Holbo MKII Airbearing Turntable System is a precision-engineered hi-fi turntable designed to minimize friction and mechanical noise by levitating both the platter and tonearm on cushions of air. This unique airbearing technology virtually eliminates vibrations and resonance, resulting in improved clarity, detail, and overall sound quality. The system includes a 5 kg CNC-machined aluminum platter driven by a thick black rubber belt and supported by a high-precision bearing system made from hardened stainless steel polished to a mirror finish. The linear tracking airbearing tonearm ensures precise stylus alignment with the record groove, eliminating tracking errors and distortion common in traditional pivoted tonearms. The turntable is powered by a low-noise DC motor with a linear power supply and includes an external noiseless air pump. The entire system weighs 12 kg and measures 430 mm x 400 mm x 150 mm. Adjustments include azimuth, leveling, and vertical tracking angle (VTA) with high-quality silver/copper litz wiring. The Holbo MKII is manufactured in Slovenia and is known for its ease of setup and exceptional sonic performance.
