About the KH-835H
The Hitachi KH-835H is a vintage AM/FM portable transistor radio from the 1970s. It features a superheterodyne circuit design with broadcast (BC) and FM wave bands. The radio includes top-mounted volume and tone controls, a telescoping antenna for improved reception, and a retractable handle for portability. It uses a permanent magnet dynamic loudspeaker and operates on line power or batteries (4 x 1.5V). The radio is compact, designed as a very small portable or pocket set, measuring under 8 inches in size.
