The High Fidelity Ultimate Reference Rhodium Plus (also known as CT-1 Ultimate Reference Helix with custom rhodium connectors, and sometimes referred to as Ultimate Reference +Rhodium or Ultimate Reference Platinum) is a top-of-the-line magnetic-conduction AC power cord that uses multiple magnetic waveguides arranged in a special helix configuration to improve electron flow and reduce noise and distortion in audio systems. It employs powerful rare-earth magnets within the waveguides and plugs, a proprietary high-permeability conductor, and custom rhodium-plated connectors chosen for higher conductivity and more stable signal transfer, all aimed at lowering the noise floor and enhancing resolution, dynamics, and soundstage. High Fidelity Cables specifies this model as part of its CT-1 Ultimate Reference/Helix series of power cords, positioned above the standard Ultimate and Ultimate Reference power cords, priced at approximately $12,900 per 1 m, with additional 0.5 m lengths available at extra cost. All High Fidelity AC cords in this series are typically supplied in 1.5 m standard length, with longer lengths available by special order from some retailers.
