About the VTSP 360 ESP REF
The Herron Audio VTSP 360 ESP REF is a two-channel vacuum-tube line-stage preamplifier with six inputs, including a tape input, two main outputs, a tape output, and a tape-monitor loop. It provides switchable high- and low-gain modes, a multifunction remote control, 100-step electronic volume control with numeric display, switchable absolute polarity, stereo/mono operation, full-range balance adjustment, home-theater bypass, mute, and adjustable display brightness. The unit has a 100 kΩ input impedance, approximately 100 Ω output impedance, automatic muting during startup and shutdown, and a low-noise design intended to accommodate high-level input signals without overload. It uses gold-plated, Teflon-insulated RCA connectors and a 1/2-inch brushed-anodized aluminum faceplate. The ESP revision was introduced around early 2021 and was intended to improve transparency and vocal clarity. Dimensions are 17.6 inches wide, 4 inches high including feet, and 10.25 inches deep. The original warranty specification was three years for parts and labor and 90 days for tubes.
